Happy Easter
It has been awhile eh?
I know that my 4 subscribers have probably missed me. Here I am. Today I thought was a good day to post.
It is 12:10 AM on this Easter Sunday. I brought it in reading and reflecting on the resurrection. My devotion reminded me of the verse "He is not here, but is risen!" from Luke 24:6
It talked about also how when the women went to the disciples to tell them about it, they didn't believe it. "Their words seemed to them like idle tales, and they did not believe them." from Like 24:11
This unfortunately is still the case today. So many people still don't believe. My prayer is that we as Christians will do our best to shine the light and share Jesus with the world. Have no shame and hypocrisy. We are guilt of this shame and hypocrisy. But we, including myself, MUST come out of our comfort zones and start spreading the news before it's too late.
"The resurrection is a fact of history that demands a response of faith."
Ya know this week I found out that I wasn't going to be able to return to work and that I am pretty much flat broke. But honestly, I can't do anything but thank God for all of the amazing things that He has allowed me to accomplish this 2011 so far. After the horrific 2010 that I went through, this year has been a breeze thus far. And I am trusting that it will continue to be. He has provided everything that I have needed and and opened doors for me that have led to incredible opportunities for growth. I don't know what other way to put it than to just thank Him.
His hand was all over me coming back to school, to The Music Man, to being able to audition for a film, to Saviour, to financial provision. His hand has been clearly seen in it all.
I've gotta talk about one or two really cool things as well.
First of all, the day that The Music Man closed I went to an ordination service for my friend Ryan. In that service the worship team did "Worthy Is the Lamb" from Hillsong. It was such an incredible way and time for me to just worship and thank God for allowing us to do that show and for providing the way through the whole production.
Then that night at the cast party we took some time to just pray over the seniors and ask God's help and blessing over them as they continue on.
On Tuesday we had our last performance ever of Saviour. Again, an amazing time of worship and praise to God for His overflowing love for us.
And now today is Easter. We get to think about and remember how Jesus died for us so that we could live. Then He rose again! Conquered death!
I mean how can hear that and not be different?
I'm grateful that Christ is apart of my life. It's so impossible to think of where I would be today without Him.
Tomorrow I am meeting with the film people to talk about ways I can be involved in the production. Pray that it goes well, and that God will be glorified and lives will come to Him through this film!!
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!!
